Tea’s Day is an innovative tea brand founded by two young women, Sammy Du and Catherine Yu, that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of ethnic minorities. By sourcing tea ingredients and unique seasonings—such as fragrant pomelo powder from Jiangyong, Hunan—from remote minority regions, Tea’s Day aims to support local farmers in increasing their income and lifting themselves out of poverty, while also promoting the diverse cultural heritage of these communities.
Sammy Du
Graduated from Renmin University with a degree in Finance. After graduation, she worked at Taikang Insurance Company. Originally from Fujian, China’s renowned tea region, Sammy grew up immersed in tea culture, surrounded by teas crafted through intangible cultural heritage techniques, such as Anxi Tieguanyin and Fuding White Tea. Her lifelong passion for tea inspired her to co-found Tea’s Day. Sammy currently oversees store expansion, operations, human resources, and other essential functions of the brand.
